Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and El Mehdi Naghbal, who runs Phéro. By using Phéro, you accept them.

Who can use Phéro

You must be at least 18 years old, and you're responsible for what happens on your account.

What you post

What you post stays yours. You allow us to store it, show it to other people, and let them share it, for as long as it's live and for the retention period in our privacy policy. Only post what you have the right to share.

What's not allowed

• Anything that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a child. See our child safety page.
• Sexual, violent or hateful content, harassment or threats.
• Photos showing someone's face or body, including your own. Crop them out or take another. Hands or arms alone are fine. Other people's private information isn't allowed either.
• Fake trails, fake sightings or false reports, and scams, including asking for money for a pet.
• Anything illegal, including sending people onto private property.
• Getting around a block, a ban or our safety checks, or collecting people's information from the app.

We can remove content and close accounts that break these rules, and we report illegal content to the authorities where required.

Staying safe

• Trails come from other people and may be wrong or out of date. Check for yourself, especially anything you'd eat or use.
• If you meet someone about a lost pet, meet somewhere public and bring someone along. Never pay upfront.
• Don't chase a scared animal. Respect property and the law.
• Phéro isn't an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.

The service

Phéro is provided as it is. It may change, go down or stop, and alerts may not always arrive. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for what other people post or do, or for what happens when you act on a trail. Nothing here removes rights you have under the law, including Quebec's consumer protection law.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in the app.
